David Batten 1841 Small 8vo. Original publisher's green cloth with gilt lettered title to front board. Original yellow end papers. pp. 190. Five original illustrated plates. pp. 190.Unfortunately 7 pages of text have been removed from the Parochial occurences section (pps 117-20, 123-128, 131-134 This work is listed originally as published in 1827 (the plates are dated 1828), this is an updated version, not in British Library or NSTC. The copy is in fair/good condition. The front end paper exhibits two later ink signatures and the small Bookselllers/publishers label of David Batten who operated a circulating library and bookshop in Clapham. There is a rounding and slight loss to bottom of most pages, not effecting text, possibly caused by burning. The plates exhibit some staining and the board corners show some old staining.
